I have an idea!
Ohhhh, maybe not…
Is it a good idea?
How in the world will I do this?
I can’t stop thinking about it….
Oh hell, let’s do it!
Have you ever felt excitement that you could hardly contain? Like you want to work on it all the time. You can’t stop thinking up ideas and you might just burst at the seams? That is ME right now. I am so excited to start Lead with Linnea.
Finding Joy in What Others Fear
Some people get hives from public speaking or would rather hide under a rock than talk in a group. Me? I enjoy it! Like not tolerate, truly take pride and joy in it. Even more than public speaking, training and coaching people is a passion. Hearing people talk excitedly amongst themselves about what we just went over, putting the skills to work, helping each other build and grow….it’s like a child on Christmas morning or a princess loving toddler meeting Cinderella, Belle and Jasmine all at once.
People live their whole lives working in jobs they range from hating to tolerating to enjoying. I’ve been lucky enough to work in public works for the last 19+ years and I enjoy it. I wake up every day and get to do a job that is pretty well amazing. I’ve experienced training and growth opportunities that have transformed me from an early 20s aged “kid” right out of college with an accounting degree to a professional in finance and human resources.
When Passion Becomes Purpose
So if I enjoy my job so much, what am I doing starting a business? Full truth? A part of that job has given me the opportunity to share my knowledge with others. I have built up experience doing presentations and transformed that into training. (Yes, there’s a difference between giving a presentation and training people, we will talk about that later!) Guess what I figured out? When I’m training and coaching I am HAPPY. Not like a little happy, like truly happy. It’s my passion.
