Hello!

Hello! I'm Linnea. I've watched it happen too many times: talented people overlooked because no one taught them leadership skills. Organizations investing in equipment while their people got minimal training. Teams capable of greatness but never shown how to get there.

If you've experienced this gap in your organization, you're in the right place.

My Story

Why I Do This Work

For two decades in public works, I've had a front-row seat to what happens when organizations fail to develop their people, and what's possible when they do.

The turning point came when I created a leadership development program within our organization. I watched employees who had been overlooked suddenly advance. Teams that struggled started thriving. People found confidence they didn't know they had. And I realized: this is what real organizational transformation looks like.

That program became my proudest professional achievement, not because of what I created, but because of what it unlocked in others.

How My Experience Serves You

As Director of Finance and Human Resources, I understand organizations from multiple perspectives, budgets, operations, hiring, development, and strategy. This means I see challenges others miss and create solutions that actually work in the real world.

You won't get cookie-cutter workshops or theoretical frameworks. You'll get practical training your people can use immediately, whether they're front-line employees building core skills or executives shaping organizational culture.

My approach is informed by:

  • Two decades of public works leadership experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of finance, HR, and operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration (Western Michigan University)

  • Master's in Human Resource Management, in progress (Central Michigan University)

Serving the Public Works Community

I serve as Treasurer for the Michigan Chapter of the American Public Works Association (and recipient of their Hal Halquist Award), chair the Road Scholar program, and work with MPSI and MAPSI committees supporting hundreds of public works professionals annually.

These roles keep me connected to the real challenges leaders face and ensure my training reflects current best practices, not outdated theory.

The Personal Side

I live in rural Michigan with my husband, John, and our two sons, Jeremy (19) and Colton (13). Life isn't always perfect; I juggle the same competing demands as everyone else, but I approach each day with gratitude and the belief that we're all capable of more than we realize.

Being a parent, partner, and community member shapes how I work with clients. I understand that professional development isn't separate from the rest of life. The skills we build at work ripple into our families, our communities, and ourselves. That's why I focus on authentic, sustainable growth that serves you everywhere.

My Philosophy

Every person in your organization has potential waiting to be unlocked. Not just your executives, everyone. Through personalized coaching and targeted training, I help individuals and teams discover what they're truly capable of and apply it effectively.

My approach combines practical experience with evidence-based methods to create results that last.
